Greetings! Well another summer break is quickly ending as school starts in a few short days. The start of a new school year brings renewed excitement, anticipation of new opportunities, and an eagerness to get things started. The energy is contagious as you talk with teachers, students, and parents. We are all excited to get the school year started on Thursday, August 15th.
Over the past few months we have been working to get things ready for the school year. Projects have been worked on across the district while cleaning crews have been preparing buildings for your return. As we go through this school year we will continue working to improve facilities. It is not always possible to complete the scope of work in a few short weeks between the end of a year and the start of a new school year. We will work to make sure inconveniences are held to a minimum as much as possible.
Chickasha Public Schools makes sure that continued student achievement is always a main focus. Our teachers work to ensure that a high-quality education is developed and provided daily in their classrooms. Our goal is to make sure students are understanding the essential standards of the Oklahoma Academic Standards. We will work to monitor their progress and provide interventions as needed.
I would also like to welcome our new staff members to CPS. Our principals and staff members are very excited to welcome them as they bring a wealth of experience and backgrounds to our district. We are excited for our new colleagues and all that the future holds.
