Wenzel Named as Grand Principal
Launch the media gallery 1 playerKathy Wenzel has been named Interim Principal at Grand Avenue Elementary beginning August 8th, 2023. Holding a Bachelors in Elementary Education from USAO. She received her Educational Leadership Masters and School Counseling Masters from UCO, Edmond. Mrs. Wenzel is beginning her thirty-second year in education, all of them here in Chickasha Schools. Within our District, Mrs. Wenzel has served as a Math, Science, History, and Language Arts teacher. She also has served as a school counselor, Assistant Principal and Site Principal during those thirty-one years. The sites in our District that have benefited from her leadership are Bill Wallace Early Childhood Center, Grand Avenue, Chickasha Intermediate, Chickasha Middle School, and Chickasha High School.
Mrs. Wenzel said she is very excited to return to her Grand Avenue Family and looks forward to an amazing year. She also knows the Faculty and Staff are the "Grandest" and will work tirelessly to afford every student the opportunity to flourish.
When not at work, Mrs. Wenzel loves spending time with her family. Both of her children graduated from Chickasha and now she has grandchildren attending. She and her husband, Perry, can be found following those grandchildren to their events. Congratulations, Kathy Wenzel, on this familiar role. We are thankful for your leadership!!
