April Board Meeting Highlights
The Cockadoodle Dominators, Chickasha's Robotics Team, opened our regular scheduled April School Board meeting leading us in the Pledge. Members were introduced by sponsor, Stacy O'Neal. Team members include Michael Wilmon, Izziac Pennington, Logan McElroy, Makayla Morris, Bella Broyles, Carter James, Cooper Hackney, Maggie Molder and Preston Spain.
Brad and Kelly Wilkerson, avid supporters of the Fightin' Chicks, honored Aubrey Mills, our payroll specialist, and Kaden Blakes, a dedicated employee from Transportation, as the Chicken Express Employees of the Month. Aubrey and Kaden are both hardworking, dedicated employees who truly deserve this recognition. Again, we are grateful to the Wilkersons for their ongoing support.
Alice Ketchum was introduced as the Support Employee of the Year. She worked for the district for 30 years and recently retired. Alice was a faithful employee in the Child Nutrition Department, where she loved seeing the students and serving them lunch. She is missed. Our District Teacher of the Year, Greg Gibson, is a Language Arts Teacher at CMS. He has worked for the District for nine years and is a valuable member of the Middle School Team.
Debby Davis, CHS Principal, then introduced the Class of 2024 Valedictorians. Each student then introduced themselves, their guests and stated their future plans. We are so very proud of each of these young men and women. We have no doubt of their future success. The Valedictorians include Cali Alderman, Guillermo Avila, Kierstyn Burton, Conner Covington, Charles Liam Crowl, Kaden Franklin, Raylee Gibson, Serenity Golightly, Logan Green, Rhett Hoaglin, Morgen Jantzen, Addison Kennedy, Zachary Kopec, Madison McDaniel, Alia Mcleod, Suzanna Medina, Kaylen Merritt, James Payne, Aspen Phillips, Elias Pichardo-Sierra, Cooper Ragain, Cade Rayburn, Jazmin Rodriguez, Nathan Troub, Emma Tucker, Kyler Venable, Kaden Wallace, Justin Whaley, Reese Wilkins, Brant Woods and Jarett Zimmerman.
The Board then began to go about the business on the posted Agenda. To see the highlights or the posted agenda, please visit the Board of Education tab on this website.
