May Board Highlights
CPS May Board of Education recognized 217 years of service to our District. Superintendent Rick Croslin presented each of the following with a small token of our appreciation for these Loyal Fighin' Chicks. Susan Cerny has been in our District for 32 years. She has been a music teacher in every building except the high school. Jeanie Lee has served as an elementary teacher for 34 years. All but one of those years have been at Grand Avenue, the one year was at Southwest Elementary. Elaine Murray is completing her 42nd year in the District. She has served most of those years at CHS. Otto Reinhart has served the District for 30 years. He has been in every site in the District. Johnny Riley has driven a bus for this District for 38 years. Lastly, Louise Plummer, has committed 41 years of service to the Chickasha School District. Most of those years as a bus route driver. We salute these devoted employees! Also, honored was our District School Based Social Worker, Kaitlyn Verser, as the Chicken Express Employee of the Month. Kaitlyn is housed at the Enrollment Center but serves the entire District. The Board also approved the five year Continuous Strategic Improvement Plan. (Please visit the District's CSI Plan here.) Another highlight was the Pledge of Allegiance being lead by the entire CHS Men's Soccer team. The team will host the State Semi's here tonight. Great things are happening in Chickasha Public Schools as we complete this school year but continue to plan for the future.
